Carla McKirdy's career has spanned across several United Nations bodies and international tribunals, where she has worked on communications, web and graphic design, social media strategy design & promotion, data visualization, multimedia production, knowledge management, outreach and media partnerships.
She has been involved in various of the organization's major thematic areas --including international human rights, cybersecurity, gender equality, education and migration-- within the context of UN-wide campaigns such as the UN at 75, the UN's presence at the Dubai Expo and the SDG Decade of Action.
In her former career as a journalist, her work has appeared in The Guardian, Refinery 29, Broadly (Vice) and Munchies (Vice); among other publications.
